MSBS Students Give Back: Day of Service with Habitat for Humanity
February 18, 2026
Students from the California Health Sciences University (CHSU) Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) program recently participated in a meaningful Day of Service with Habitat for Humanity, collaborating to build a dresser for a local family in need.
The experience provided students with an opportunity to engage in hands-on service beyond the classroom while reinforcing the program’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility. Throughout the day, students demonstrated teamwork, precision, and a shared sense of purpose as they measured, assembled, and finished the piece.
In supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission to strengthen communities through affordable housing initiatives, MSBS students also reflected on the importance of service, humility, and collaboration—core values that align closely with their future roles as compassionate healthcare professionals.
This Day of Service exemplifies the MSBS program’s dedication to developing not only knowledgeable scientists, but also community-minded leaders committed to making a meaningful impact.
