CHSU MSBS Program Celebrates Continued Growth with Class of 2027

California Health Sciences University (CHSU) welcomed 62 new students to the Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS) Class of 2027, marking another year of significant growth for the program within the College of Biosciences and Health Professions.

This year’s class includes 20 more students than the previous cohort of 42, representing continued interest in the graduate-level program and its opportunities for students preparing to pursue medical school or other health care professions.

The Class of 2027 began its experience at CHSU with a two-day orientation on August 20 and 21. During orientation, students were introduced to the campus, curriculum, academic resources, and study strategies that will support them throughout the program. They also had opportunities to meet their classmates, faculty, staff, and members of the CHSU departments that will assist them during their academic journey.

Interest in the growing MSBS program has also been supported by CHSU’s new Guaranteed Acceptance and Guaranteed Interview Pathways to the College of Osteopathic Medicine. These pathways provide qualifying MSBS students with additional opportunities to continue their education in the CHSU Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program after meeting established academic, application, and admissions requirements.

Of the 62 students enrolled in the MSBS Class of 2027, 87.1% are from California and 51.6% are from the Central Valley. These figures reflect CHSU’s continued commitment to expanding educational opportunities for students from California and the surrounding region.

As the MSBS program welcomes its largest cohort to date, the Class of 2027 represents an important milestone in the program’s continued growth. These students will spend the coming academic year strengthening their scientific knowledge, developing their academic and professional skills, and preparing for the next stage of their health care careers.
